Starting Your Notary

This course is designed to fully prepare you for the California Notary Public exam while giving you continued support as you begin your notary journey.

What You Will Get:

• Upon successfully completing the course requirements, you will receive your official Proof of Completion certificate, which is required to sit for the California Notary Public state exam.

• One Full Year of Notary HelpLine Access: Students receive 12 months of access to the Notary HelpLine, available:
  

  • 7 days a week (Sunday – Saturday)
  • 9:00 am – 9:00 pm

What You’ll Need:

• Internet connection
• Computer with speakers and webcam (so we can verify your attendance)
• Microphone (optional—you can type questions instead)

How It Works: We’ll email you the class materials as the date approaches. We recommend printing them to follow along with the PowerPoint presentation.

Throughout the six-hour class (with two 15-minute breaks and one hour for lunch), you’ll complete required tasks to verify attendance. Completing these tasks is necessary to receive your certificate.

What’s Different from In-Person Classes:

• Passport photos: We can’t provide 2×2 color passport photos, but we’ll explain how to take them at home
• LiveScan fingerprinting: You’ll need to arrange this separately after passing your exam (click here for Tulare County locations)
• State exam: You’ll take the proctored test at a state-approved site—the nearest is in Fresno (view testing schedule here: https://www.cpshr.us/notary/)
