Content Creation Bootcamp: Beginner to Intermediate

This training is designed to equip beginners and intermediate-level learners with essential skills to leverage popular social media platforms—Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter)—alongside powerful visual content creation using Canva. Participants will learn foundational and intermediate-level strategies, including content planning, audience engagement, analytics interpretation, and visual storytelling. By the end of the course, students will be capable of creating compelling, professional-quality digital content and confidently managing their social media presence across various platforms.

Level 1 – Content Creation Bootcamp Outline:

Content Strategy:

  • Create and effectively manage comprehensive content calendars.
  • Generate creative and engaging content ideas tailored to your audience.
  • Apply storytelling techniques specifically optimized for social media.
  • Optimize posts strategically for maximum impact across various platforms.
  • Utilize hashtags effectively to enhance reach and visibility.

Platform-Specific Skills:

  • Facebook: Professional Page and Group management, algorithm basics, effective use of Stories and Live video.
  • Instagram: Visually engaging posts and stories, Reel creation, and insights analysis.
  • LinkedIn: Optimized professional profiles, engaging content creation, and targeted networking.
  • TikTok: Captivating short-form video creation, trend leveraging, and basic in-app video editing.
  • YouTube: Channel setup and management, compelling thumbnails and titles, foundational SEO practices.
  • X (formerly Twitter): Concise tweet crafting, effective use of threads, trending topics, hashtags, and mentions.

Audience Engagement:

  • Professionally respond to audience comments and direct messages.
  • Implement strategies to increase follower interactions and build strong online communities.
  • Effectively manage and professionally address negative feedback.
  • Conduct interactive content, including polls, live Q&A sessions, and events, to boost audience participation.

Analytics and Performance Measurement:

  • Understand and interpret key metrics: reach, engagement, and impressions.
  • Leverage analytics insights to refine and improve your social media strategy.
  • Track audience growth and content performance using platform-specific analytics tools.
  • Become familiar with essential third-party analytics tools to enhance strategic decision-making.

Visual Content Creation with Canva:

  • Confidently navigate Canva’s interface, templates, and advanced tools.
  • Design professional-quality graphics optimized for each social media platform.
  • Create engaging platform-specific visuals (carousels, banners, thumbnails).
  • Apply foundational branding principles for consistent color, typography, and design.
  • Edit and produce engaging video content within Canva.
  • Export and optimize visual content effectively for various social media platforms.

 

Prerequisites for the Beginner to Intermediate-Level Social Media and Canva Mastery Class

To ensure success in the Beginner to Intermediate-Level Social Media and Canva Mastery Class, participants should meet the following prerequisites:

  • Basic Computer Skills: Comfortable navigating the internet, managing files, and using web-based applications.
  • Social Media Accounts: Active personal accounts on at least two of the listed platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, or X).
  • Basic Understanding of Social Media: Familiarity with general social media concepts, such as posting content, liking, sharing, and commenting.
  • Reliable Internet Access: A stable internet connection is needed to participate in online lessons, access resources, and complete assignments.
  • Basic Communication Skills: Ability to write clearly and effectively for online platforms.

 

This class is very interactive. It is designed to engage trainees in practical, actionable social media practice and design.

Important note: You are expected to bring your own laptop so that you are able to work on your own social media accounts.
