Utility Line Clearance Arborist Training

Launch Your Career in Utility Arboriculture

This five-week, 200-hour training program—developed by leaders in the Utility Arboriculture industry—prepares individuals for a career as a Utility Line Clearance Arborist. Trainees gain essential knowledge, hands-on skills, and industry best practices aligned with OSHA, ANSI, and other professional standards.

A Win for Employers

Employers benefit from hiring graduates who are already familiar with job expectations and safety protocols. This program helps reduce on-the-job training time, increases productivity, lowers incident rates, and improves employee retention.

Employment and Compensation:

Some local Utility Arborist contractors plan to interview program participants for potential employment. Those hired can expect a starting wage of approximately $22.00 per hour, with ample opportunities for advancement. A drug test and clean driving record may be required. While not mandatory, a Commercial Driver License (CDL) is highly valued by many employers.

Trainees Will Learn:

Trainees will receive instruction in OSHA 10 safety standards, First Aid and CPR through the American Heart Association, flagging procedures, communication skills, and electrical hazard awareness, including minimum approach distances. Additional topics will be covered to ensure a well-rounded foundation.

Trainees Will Receive Certificates in:

Upon successful completion, trainees will earn certificates in Flagger Training, OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR. A Certificate of Completion will also be issued, reflecting the total hours attended. All issued PPE must be returned to receive certification.
