Heat Illness & Pesticide Safety

This combined training program ensures all agricultural employees understand pesticide hazards and heat illness risks, and know how to protect themselves, their families, and coworkers. In California, employers must take steps to protect workers from heat illness in both indoor and outdoor workplaces under California Code of Regulations, Title 8 (T8CCR), sections 3395 and 3396. View more information here: https://www.dir.ca.gov/dosh/heatillnessinfo.html .

California pesticide worker safety regulations require pesticide safety training be provided to fieldworkers and pesticide handlers by their employers. View more information here: https://www.cdpr.ca.gov/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/t2_criteria.pdf
