OSHA General Industry

This OSHA 10-hour course is intended for workers in General Industry. It is designed to teach workplace safety and reduce jobsite hazards. This course provides a convenient way for workers to learn about hazard avoidance, workers’ rights, filing an OSHA Complaint and more,

Content (10 Modules):

  1. Introduction to OSHA and Cal/OSHA
  2. Walking and Working Surfaces, including fall protection
  3. Personal Protective Equipment
  4. Electrical
  5. Machine Guarding
  6. Hazard Communication
  7. Ergonomics
  8. Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, and Fire Protection
  9. Health Hazards
  10. Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and Heat Illness Prevention

OSHA Construction

This OSHA 10-hour course is intended for workers in the construction industry. This course is to introduce students to OSHA. It will cover how to eliminate work-related injuries and fatalities, basic practices of identifying, reducing, and reporting hazards associated with their work. Also taught will be employer responsibilities, employee rights, and how to handle emergencies.This course provides a convenient way for workers to learn about hazard avoidance, workers’ rights, filing an OSHA Complaint and more.

  2. OSHA Focus Four Hazards:
    1. Falls
    2. Electrocution
    3. Struck-By
    4. Caught-In or between
  3. PPE
  4. Health Hazards in Construction
  5. Materials Handling, Storage, Use and Disposal
  6. Scaffolds

OSHA 30 General Industry

This course emphasizes California Code of Regulation (CCR), Title 8 for General Industry Standards and compliance. The Cal/OSHA 30-hour General Industry training is formulated for safety directors, managers, forepersons, and supervisors having direct or indirect responsibilities for the safety of employees they supervise. Training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not necessarily Cal/OSHA standards, although reference to the standards are within the materials. Topics include injury and illness prevention program (IIPP), machinery and machine guarding, hazardous materials, confined space, industrial hygiene, lock out/tag out, ergonomics, electrical safety, heat illness prevention and many other safety topics. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Cal/OSHA 30-hour General Industry card.
