Distribution Center Workplace Skills Academy
We are partnering with Distribution Center employers at the Visalia industrial Park who have committed to interview participants who complete this training program.
With the growing number of logistics and distribution centers moving to the Central Valley, the College of the Sequoias is poised and ready to provide the essential training needed to provide the workforce required to enable these companies to thrive. Central California is perfectly positioned to have overnight access to millions of customers, and the Training Resource Center is proud to be a part of the workforce solution.
“With all of those internet orders, a recent analysis expects that e-commerce will require more than three times the logistics space of brick-and-mortar sales, according to 2019 data.
Global e-commerce sales are projected to more than double to $6.5 trillion by 2023, according to Statista. The Boston Consulting Group estimates US e-commerce sales will double as well, to $1 trillion — growing at six times the rate of all retail transactions.” (Amazon Picks South Valley for Latest Fulfillment Center, John Lindt, Business Journal, 9/18/20)
