Inpatient Auditing

The Inpatient Auditing program requires individuals to have at least three years of experience in inpatient acute care medical coding as well as a current RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC credential prior to sign-up. The course is designed for busy adult learners who have limited time, and individuals can test out of material they already know. Individuals will learn both the technical and soft skills required to be a good auditor, including ICD-10-CM/PCS, fundamentals and reimbursement concepts, regulatory compliance, healthcare law, and documentation integrity. The program also includes an audit practicum with 50 to 100 cases for hands-on experience.
