Essential Workplace Skills
Soft skills are the personal attributes, personality traits, inherent social cues, and communication abilities needed for success on the job. Soft skills characterize how a person interacts in his or her relationships with others. Soft skills are similar to emotions or insights that allow people to “read” others. Are you seeing a “soft skills gap?” It’s not uncommon in today’s workforce. The ability to effectively communicate, problem-solve, collaborate and organize—are becoming more and more important for success as the workplace evolves socially and technologically. In fact, employees lacking is soft skills is the #1 problem in todays workforce. Forbes sites the skills we have included in our Essential Workplace Skills training as the Top Soft Skills needed for 2020.
No matter the age, technical skill, or level of your employees, all can benefit from Essential Workplace Skills training and set your company on the road to success. For too long, interpersonal abilities have taken a back seat to technical skills and organizations have been obliged to hire many candidates who fall too short on interpersonal abilities; which has come at a hefty toll to production, reduced customer satisfaction, and low company morale. Not anymore! Earn a Badge!
Those who attend the full training will earn their Essential Workplace Skills Badge! What is a Badge? A badge is an indicator of accomplishment or skill that can be displayed, accessed and verified online.
We want to recognize our learner’s accomplishments and also allow others to recognize their accomplishment. The trainee goes through many hours of training and this badge allows them to have an additional credential to show for it. We want the trainee to be able to share their learning outside of their organization as well (i.e. on their LinkedIn page).
